  For me, the bed was uncomfortable. Seemed fairly clean but no refrigerator. I've stayed in rooms in a lot of small towns, that were much better and reasonably priced. There seemed to be only two people staying in the hotel, at least that's what I could see by the number of vehicles in the parking lot, ours and someone else's.
  
  Front desk lady was lounging and reading in a lobby chair and said she gets paid to read but laughingly said,"Don't tell my manager I said that." Must be slow a lot.
  
  I am a smoker but knew this is a nonsmoking hotel. Drove up in my daughter's vehicle -- she is not a smoker -- that does not have an ashtray so was using a baby jar (with lid) as an ashtray. I dumped the contents of the jar (four cig butts) in the trash right before we checked out at 11:00 a.m. the next day. They charged my daughter another $250 for a room that "smelled like smoke."
  
  There's no way that could have been. The jar had been closed for at least 12 hours. There was more trash piled on top of that as we picked up our room before leaving. Yes, I smoked, and all 3 times I did so outside in the freezing cold. My granddaughter's on oxygen so I'm used to taking my business outside.
  
  My guess is that when the cleaning lady found the cigarettes she thought she could earn the hotel some more bank. Desk lady said the butts were in the bathroom. They were in fact in the can by the tv and so she then told me, Well, then that's why the room smelled.
  
  Hey, maybe Blue Mountain employees get a pat on the back or something for finding stuff like that, even though it was purely trash that was not used in their hotel, just dumped in a trash can. Was it a learning experience? Yeah. Most small town people are honest and have scruples. Unfortunately for me, the people who work in this hotel clearly are not. I'll sleep in my vehicle or find another hotel. I'd even drive to Rifle. Will never spend my money here again.
